Wallasey 5 2-3 Buckley Mold 2

I delayed posting this team victory as it takes a few days to get over the fact that I turned a winning position into a dead loss in just one move, placing a rook en prise, the pawn then being able to queen, and I couldn't do anything about it. Rybka goes from +8.88 in my favour to Mate in 7 to my opponent. Aargh!

Division 2

Division 2 remains tight with only 3 rearranged fixtures still to be played. At the top promotion chasing Frodsham suffered a setback
thanks to a late 3-2 defeat away at Chester 2, while rivals Colwyn Bay defeated Chester 3 at home to go top 2 points clear on "goal"
difference. Colwyn Bay face bottom team Buckley/Mold next, a win of 4.5 - 0.5 or better would guarantee them 1st place. Meanwhile
Frodsham must play relegation threatened Chester 3 at Chester. Anything less than a win for Colwyn Bay and Frodsham could see 3rd place
Capenhurst, who also must play Chester 3, sneak in to 1st place if they win.

At the other end Holywell, who have now played all 12 games, sit nervously on 5 points and await the fate of Chester 3 and Buckley/Mold,
who have 4.5 points each. A win for either team would guarantee safety.

Buckley Mold 2 4-1 Holywell

Buckley Mold win handsomely against Holywell in this bottom of the league clash in the Chester & District league division 2.
